My Image

Hi! My name is Rimma Yakobovich.

I have been living in New Jersey for 26 years. I got married here, I raised my kids here, and I put my roots here. I was not born here, but New Jersey is the place I call my home.

33 years ago I came with my parents to the United State from the former Soviet Union as a Jewish refugee. We started our life in America from scratch. It was a very difficult time for us, since we had to overcome financial and immigration issues, as well as learning the language, culture and lifestyle. We respected the laws of this great country and were honored with the privilege of becoming American citizens. I appreciate the opportunities that we have in America. I do not take them for granted. I understand immigration issues and the difference between Respecting and Neglecting our country's law.

Today I am living the American dream. I am a wife and mother of two. My older daughter graduated WW-P public school and The College of New Jersey. Now she is living and working in NJ. My younger one is in 10th grade of the same public school district. Watching my kids grow makes me better understand the problems with our school system and the challenges that face young professionals who are starting their lives in New Jersey.

For the past 18 years I have lived in West Windsor, NJ. Prior to that, I resided in Plainsboro, NJ and in Brooklyn, NY.

For the past 15 years I have been Republican Committee woman of West Windsor, District 12.

I graduated Kiev (Ukraine) University with the equivalent to a Master's degree in Mathematics and worked for many years as a computer software developer in big and small companies.

A few years ago, I started my own business creating mobile apps. Both my husband and I are running small businesses, which today isn't easy. I understand from our own experiences the challenges that entrepreneurs and small business owners in NJ face.

I promise to keep your interests as my highest priority and hope to earn your support and your vote.
